AM Drum Academy is located at 17 Winwick St, Warrington, WA1 1XR, just a short walk from Warrington Central train station and Warrington Bus Interchange. Nearby street parking is available if you are driving in, as well as many local secure car parks.

I teach students of all ages! I have experience teaching across all age ranges as well as working with children with Special Educational Needs.

No, in fact its very common for beginners to not have their own drum kit. This isnt an issue whatsoever! A lot of progress can be made even without having your own kit to practice on away from these lessons.

During the lessons all equipment is provided, however if you have your own sticks I recommend bringing them along!

The lessons are 1 hour long. All of these lessons are 1 to 1 and include a follow up of any relevant study materials and notes from the lesson.

All my lessons are specifically tailored to the student and their personal goals. In the first lesson I like to speak to the student and get an idea of what they want to achieve on the drum kit and look at setting some short, mid and long term goals.

My lesson topics are always based on what the student wants to improve on, some of these topics include:

• How to read music

• How to learn songs on drums

• How to practice effectively

• Building technique from beginner to advanced ideas

• How to write drum parts for songs

• Studying of different types of music and looking at their key features
